Résumé:In recent years, there has been a growing influence of science-fiction in public and private organizations, with the aim of enhancing creativity and imagination in employees’ creativity and imagination when generating new products and services. This raises the question of whether the innovation processes involving science fiction stories actually result in commercialized innovations in the real world. To answer this question, international databases and science fiction books were analyzed to establish relationships between fiction and innovation and to identify products and services that first existed in fiction. The results show a prophetic role for fiction in the creation of inventions that later became products and services used by human beings in everyday life. JEL Code : O310
