总结:This article shows how the International Monetary Fund, from the 1990s onwards, has readjusted its discourse in response to growing social criticism of its structural adjustment programs. In order to renew its international political legitimacy, the institution has gradually assimilated the ideas and vocabulary of social protest by adapting them to its own normative frameworks and institutional discourse. It has therefore sought to reconcile social and democratic concerns with the macroeconomic reforms implemented in exchange for financial loans. The case of the programs for Greece after 2008, based on an analysis of official documents and archives, provides an empirical illustration of the discursive shift—but also the paradigmatic stability—evident in the Fund’s policy.
