Riassunto:In this paper we will present the case of the Basque language through the neologisms it made throughout its history. We will present briefly three aspects: the borrowings from Latin where Basque seems to be more conservative than the surrounding Romance languages, the borrowings made by Basque Souletin dialect to Occitan Gascon of Béarn in the past centuries and finally aspects of the neologisms created today. The Basque language builds its scientific and administrative lexicons from the ever evolving international vocabulary. Basque is not distinguished at this point from the other languages of Europe.
