| 要約: | Interrogatives, negatives, and the evolution of verbal formal features in spoken French The aim of this article is threefold. First, I argue that the loss of the negative particle ne is chronologically and structurally correlated with the rise of Wh-in-situ interrogatives in Modem Spoken French. Second, I try to show that both evolutions are conceptually derivable from a change in verbal formal features : in Spoken French, the verb has lost the modal features that trigger syntactic and morphological operations in other Romance languages. Third, I suggest that such an evolution could be explained in phonological terms. |
