Özet:According to a widely accepted interpretative scheme, the history of modern ontology, which can be traced back to the beginning of the seventeenth century in the context of what is known as Schulmetaphysik, has its origins in the Aristotelian tradition, and in particular in a certain phase of the exegetical controversies about the interpretation of Aristotle’s Metaphysics. Our aim in this article is precisely to put forward a few very schematic remarks that might provide arguments in favour of a Platonic origin of modern ontology in general, on the conceptual level, and of Clauberg’s ontology in particular, at least to a small extent, on the textual level.
