| Riassunto: | In Cambodia, a society with a strong oral tradition, the traditional Khmer lullabies are still alive and handed on by parental figures in rural areas. This research focused on the family and cultural representations and beliefs inherent in these lullabies, and their role in the construction of affective bonds between the baby and his family circle and in the transmission of the child’s cultural affiliation. The author underlines the importance of the subjective analysis of the researcher in a transcultural setting, which enables the co-construction of a method that is culturally adapted. The role of interpreters and the process of translation in the collection and analysis of data are also explored. |
