| 要約: | In 2001, a new local institution named Parlamento Rapa Nui was born in Rapa Nui. This organization has openly raised the existing colonial issues on the island, leading to a constant struggle for complete autonomy for Rapa Nui. This work aims to study the discursive bases of the Parlamento Rapa Nui, deeply inspired by Tahitian models. We emphasize here the importance of this local group because, due to its actions, Chilean institutions had to guarantee a new autonomy to the Rapa Nui people. However, the Parlamento, especially in its early days, was not unanimously supported within the island because its members were mainly seen as troublemakers. The current political configuration of Rapa Nui, where autonomy is increasingly advanced, is indebted to the political action of the Parlamento Rapa Nui between 2001 and 2015. Therefore, it is appropriate to analyze this organization’s role in shaking up the political foundations of Rapa Nui’s recent history. |
