Sumari:The question of anthropodicy is addressed by translating “Good” to behavior that sustains human social form. Treating that as an attribute of the self-organization of any form of interaction “naturally” extends to the entire ecology that is the necessary form for all behavior. Accordingly, it is “ecodicy”, rather than the narrower and more abstract anthropodicy, that is examined. The ecology is viewed as a complete, many-player, infinite game with many formal levels, each of which has a game “value” as a quasi-equilibrium form of both the rules (protocols of interaction) and the distribution (equity) of the player states. This game is called the “Equalocene” also to avoid the human-centricity of anthropodicy assumed by the Anthropocene. The qualification for all the ecology to participate is the attribute of “standing” that resonates with recent adjudication of ecological issues beyond human rules of behavior (the Nomos). The extension of standing and all behavior that is accountable for risk to ecological formal stability becomes the attribute of ecodicy that is existentially necessary.
