| Streszczenie: | Earth observation data based on remote sensing methods hold promising potential for innovation in water management. This article examines the role of living labs as organizational frameworks for addressing these challenges – through a case study of an international project lauded at COP26: MOSIS. MOSIS seeks to leverage satellite-based remote sensing for integrated water-resource management of the Senegal River basin, coordinated by a French living lab in partnership with diverse stakeholders. Our qualitative analysis, grounded in interviews with MOSIS participants, uncovers both the complexities of embedding Earth observation technologies into water management and the strategies the living lab employed to navigate them. Despite multiple obstacles, our findings demonstrate considerable potential for living labs to act as catalysts of innovation in water management. JEL code: M00 |
