| Summary: | The aim of this article is to question the link between trust, mistrust and commitment in a context of environmental, economic and social uncertainty. We study the unique case of a mountain resort undergoing transformation, engaging stakeholders in a Sustainable Business Model Innovation (SBMI). The results show: (1) a climate of mistrust impacting relationships between stakeholders engaged in value co-creation, (2) the influence of belief in a transformation in maintaining the emotional and cognitive commitment of stakeholders over the short and medium term, despite a trust deficit, (3) the adoption of strategic roles embodying their behavioral commitment to maintain co-creation. Based on these results, we discuss the relationship between trust and commitment, which has been little explored in SBMI under uncertainty. Its originality lies in the exploration of mistrust, which is particularly present in this specific context.JEL Codes: M2, Q5 |
