| Gaia: | This article examines trust as an essential foundation of collaboration within local networks to stimulate responsible innovation. Our research focuses on the mechanisms of trust that underpin the innovative action of local managers who represent their organizations in CSR collectives in their own catchment area, at the edge of their professional and personal commitments. Based on a qualitative analysis of 4 fieldwork sites representing 166 organizations, our results reveal a complex trust dynamic, enriched by both interpersonal and inter-organizational trust, enabling individuals to grant themselves the legitimacy to embody collective responsible innovation in social and concrete terms. Throughout this dynamic of trust, highlighted as a lever for individual catalysis towards concrete action, our research also proposes a contribution to the performativity of inter-organizational alliances in territories, for the wider benefit of society.JEL Codes: D22, M14, O35 |
