Samenvatting:This article explores the dynamics of relationships between academic startups and Public Research Organizations (PROs), for which the literature presents mixed results regarding their reciprocal effects on scientific productivity and innovation. We hypothesize that there may be a heterogeneity in academic startup-PRO relationships, with specific influences on research dynamics and valorization. Using C-K theory to model these dynamics, we identify three main configurations. These configurations illustrate that startups can have beneficial effects on scientific research by stimulating new scientific explorations. The findings provide a deeper understanding of how entrepreneurship can contribute to scientific research, fostering more dynamic and innovative scientific ecosystems. JEL Codes : L26, M10, M13, M200
