Résumé:ADAPTATION OF HOUSING FOR OLDER PEOPLE, DISABILITY “LESSONS” LEARNED : AN ASSET IN LIFE’S LAST LAP ? Are there really “lessons “to be learned from disability in the field of adapting housing for the last lap of life ? Not strictly speaking, but understanding the approaches which have changed the “disability world”, concepts such as the WHO classification, prevention against fatalist attitudes and bureaucratic barriers linked to age, can help enlighten those affected by advancing age and loss of autonomy. Within the field of incapacity compensation, technical and humane aids and accessibility measures for disabled people can also be applied to problems relating to the last stages of life.
