Shrnutí:Professor Robert Le Duff played a singular role in the genesis of the discipline of public management in France, in the wake of the development of management sciences recognized as an academic discipline. Doctor in economics, Robert Le Duff quickly opted for a science that put information, decision and action at the heart of its problems. Actor in the development of management sciences within the IAE, both for teaching and for research, he introduced public management into this matrix, by participating in initiatives to structure the discipline which attracted teachers-researchers. His teaching was based on the reading of great authors capable of generating questions and research of a rather conceptual nature.
