Riassunto:This study examines contemporary challenges faced by social entrepreneurs operating in isolated regions, using in-depth interviews with social entrepreneurs and key actors in this field. Contributing to the literature on how social entrepreneurship can be used to integrate communities and individuals that are geographically and/or socially isolated, our objective is to inform the development of a social entrepreneur toolkit to enable participants to formulate viable business plans, either individually or in community-based teams. The findings offer rich insights into the challenges facing isolated social entrepreneurs, including cause fatigue, stakeholder rejection and a lack of commercial awareness.
