| Résumé: | This article explores the notion of mastery through a psychoanalytic reading of Freudian concepts related to sexuality, perversion, and drives. It examines Freud’s shift in understanding infantile sexuality and his distinction between the sexual drive and the gender drive. The author highlights the role of the drive for mastery as a process aimed at maintaining a fixed bond with the object, preventing separation and autonomy. Perversion, far from being merely a pathological deviation, is analyzed here as an attempt to neutralize randomness in the relationship with the object. Through a historical and clinical approach, the study demonstrates how perversion and paranoia share a common logic of mastery and control over the other. The analysis is enriched by literary and artistic references illustrating this dynamic, particularly in the works of Molière, Laclos, and Louise Bourgeois. |
