Description
Summary:In 1972, Maud and Octave Mannoni went to Buenos Aires, invited by the Lacanian group led by Oscar Masotta. The political context was very radicalized, even in the psychoanalytic milieu, where, at the end of 1971, there had been the first institutional split within the framework of the ipa for strictly ideological reasons. The most famous splitters (Marie Langer, Emilio Rodrigué, Fernando Ulloa, Gilou García Reinoso) were invited to the meetings. Thus, in public conferences and private meetings, between clinical debates and political exchanges, the Mannonis began to make their way to the Río de la Plata. They were the first French Lacanians to land in South America.
