| Sammanfattning: | In 2022, we have developed a qualitative research based on the approach of social attachment proposed by Serge Paugam to examine the thoughts concerning solidarity and its sources by two samples of Chilean and French citizens. These individuals were selected according to the socio-professional categories they belonged to. The objective was to recognize their primary attachment identified for each group as the foundation of their relationship to others and society. The results show that the excessive targeting of the State on the poor is fundamental to get how the principle of solidarity is understood in Chile. In the French case, the majority testifies to the degradation of the State services on sovereign functions: education, justice, security and health. |
