| Riassunto: | The standard model of producing industrial and light industry zones through public policies, founded on urban expansion and the acquisition of low-cost land, is significantly disrupted by the imperative of land frugality. This article examines how this new paradigm affects the production of land for light industry and industrial activities, documenting the emergence of a model through two French case studies (one in urban extension, the other focusing on densification), and assessing the emergence of an intensive model of lamb production for productive activities. This model is characterised by denser morphologies, the introduction of new roles in the land production chain, and the separation of land and buildings within the deal package. We show the extent to which these new production methods can be linked to the need to reduce land consumption, and how the reorganisation of roles observed is specific to these industrial zones and business parks. |
