Syria martyred The collective Syrie. Le pays brûlé (The burnt country) places the demolition of Syrian society in a long history, that of the Assads' « State of barbarism » (Michel Seurat). If it makes us wonder « what is the point of the world anymore ? », it does not forbid hope.
