| סיכום: | On the basis of a metapsychological hypothesis, “tact-pulsion”, which recentres the nature of the drive impulse on contact, this article distinguishes two inseparable and decisive modalities in the care professions with the aim of giving the diagnostic and therapeutic approach its rightful place: the functions of welcoming and receiving. Receiving is linked to demand, in a symbolised form; welcoming re-enacts the primitive bases of contact with the other as experienced in childhood, infancy, and even prenatal life, and defines a specific approach to caring. My reflections are organised around different clinical situations of welcome: time of welcome, place of welcome, welcoming in the waiting room, time in the waiting room; I will also consider the nature of the experiences encountered, as well as the mode of psychic transition from the person welcomed to the person welcoming them. |
