Description
Summary:RésuméProfessional secret is a legally punished banning from disclosing certain information. Those who are subject to professional secret do not always know precisely its outline. After recalling general rules of professional secret, exceptions that allow or impose the disclosure of confidential information will be explained. The 5th March 2007 law on child protection and the same day law on crime prevention both provide for obligations and authorisations to disclose confidential information. The compatibility of each of these laws with the other is subject to controversy and the sound structuring of their various obligations is complex. Their implementation in the interest of families and children will need common thinking in social services and communities.
