When sexual violence occurs between siblings, parents find themselves in a complex situation, being both parents to the perpetrator and the victim. Understanding the psychological processes and mechanisms involved in fraternal incest allows us to gain insights into important aspects of family dynamics and anticipate the most suitable educational and therapeutic approach. On the basis of a clinical situation from our work as psychologists in a judicial placement service, we introduce the support system designed for adolescent offenders and their parents, emphasizing the necessity of specialized assistance for parents facing an impossible situation. |
