Sometimes a sound, a whisper, a cry, a rhythm or even a melody can be enough to encounter a condensed experience, like a riddle, a pictogram (or even a sinogram), which opens the door to music therapy. The author also offers a reflection on the space-time of the non-verbal and finally questions the negativity associated with this mode of expression. Clinical illustrations accompany this reflection to highlight the characteristics of non-verbal sound. Sound and music have an important presence in all families and cultures, and offering family music therapy reflects this intimate experience of the family group. |
