| Streszczenie: | Abstract: This article aims to explore the role of the historian H. Hall in the birth of Egypto-Aegean studies. While a review of his work reveals his major contribution to our knowledge of Egypto-Aegean relations during the Bronze Age, an analysis of his discourse highlights both his adherence to culture-historical archaeology and the influence of contemporary trends of thought and theoretical concepts on his work. A scholarly genealogy can also be outlined: H. Hall initially drew on the work of F. Petrie and A. Evans before taking on the duties of pater academicus to J. Pendlebury. |
