Description
Summary:economic development and integration into the republican period : an epigraphic approach, DHA 35/1, 2009, 115-152. The deep changes Hispania Citerior went through during the first two centuries of the roman domination cannot be understood without paying attention to the underlying economic development of the province. A fundamental aspect of the process was the progressive increase of the local agricultural, mining and handicraft production, which was stimulated by the development of an incipient provincial market and the gradual incorporation of the region into the Mediterranean commercial networks. Some key features of this phenomenon are analyzed, in particular the involvement of Indigenous as well as Italics.
