Opis
Izvleček:Conducive to unbinding movements, the adolescent phase thus provides a major opportunity for an unrestrained incursion of death drives in the psychic life of adolescent subjects. Seeking shelter within sleep and hypersomnia reflects one of the defensive modalities to cope with these unbinding phenomena. Consequently, if sleep is the realm of death drives, then the sleep needs of adolescent individuals are potentially correlated with the activity of drive unbinding. In the same way, if the individual rests from the demands of desire during sleep, then a disorder like hypersomnia not only expresses a sort of acme in this process of psychic unbinding, but also attests to the potency of the “desire of non-desire” emblematic of the death drive, in a given subject.
