Opis
Sažetak:The author highlights the diversity of forms of violence against women – physical, economic, and psychological – and their roots in gender inequality. Economic violence after separation is often invisible but has a significant impact on women’s mental health. The text examines the concept of coercive control, a recent legal tool designed to identify subtle forms of psychological violence. The contribution then analyzes the controversial notion of parental alienation, which is often used against protective mothers, and clarifies the legal notion of consent in cases of sexual assault. Finally, the author emphasizes the inadequacy of mediation in cases of domestic violence, a dangerous practice that does not allow for fair negotiation in situations of psychological or physical violence. All these forms of violence are seen as structural and deeply rooted in the history of patriarchy, calling for appropriate legal responses.
