Descripció
Sumari:Jean Daniélou’s Theology of Judaeo-Christianity, published in 1958, was a great success, although it was received differently from the author’s initial intention. Conceived as a response to Harnack and as a theology of Christianity of Jewish origin, it was seen as an invitation to return to the Jewish roots of Christianity. Fifty years later, the perspective on Judaeo-Christianity has evolved considerably. Modern scholarship has challenged Daniélou’s teleological vision, focusing instead on the role of social change in shaping religious identities. Although Daniélou’s theories are now largely abandoned, it would be useful to revive the Cardinal’s original intuition: can we reconstruct the theology of the first Christians of Jewish origin?
