| Riassunto: | The direction of an integration, Published in 2000 by Fayard, the diary of Renaud Camus’ life in 1994 created quite a stir in the media. In The Direction (P.O. L, 2003), the author undertook an examination of the lessons learned from that experience, by investigating the sense of certain words, of the notion of origin, of the sense of the group and of the weight of time... The work contains numerous references to Turkey and a reflection on its « European-ness ». The narrative is never linear, and yet its meanderings are always directed towards the truth.
