| Summary: | There is often conflict at the intersection of managerial and care logics, and thus learning to take care of others has become a challenge for future professionals in the caring professions, especially in the context of a global pandemic. The accumulation of multiple factors (stress, emotionally fragile situations) risks disorganizing the inner self. Therefore, how should unconscious psychic work be mobilized in the learning of care? How does a learner appropriate these care concepts? “Taking care” cannot be summed up in purely conscious, academic skills, as the body and affects are at stake. This article proposes the analysis of a fragment of a clinical research interview conducted with a young nursing student at the beginning of her training. The relationship to care will be analyzed via a twin lexical and discursive approach, based on the theoretical elements of care, and of the relationship to knowledge, as well as on the theoretical and clinical apparatus of Freudian metapsychology. |
