| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | The long-term consequences of childhood trauma depend on many variables. These include the nature, duration, number of times and frequency with which the trauma is repeated, intensity, age, pre-existing health status and personality of the subject. Added to this are associated events such as illnesses, accidents or losses that precede or follow the trauma(s). The feeling of security remains one of the subject’s basic needs. We need to clarify the nature and importance of this affect in order to understand why it is one of the child’s fundamental needs that must be respected. This feeling of security is one of the conditions of mental health for the subject. Our approach is based on clinical encounters with children in child protection, closed educational centers and juvenile prisons. |
