| Zusammenfassung: | Among the reasons for the increase in suicide attempts by adolescent girls today, we find the influence of the simulacra of images in contemporary culture, and the impossibility of symbolizing the internal violence of this age. Suicide attempts by teenage girls may well reflect a double alienation from gender stereotypes, as well as a lack of acceptance and responsiveness on the part of adults. Finally, these acts engage the question of subjectivation, in gender, which contemporary culture doesn’t much favor. |
