Yhteenveto:Kafka, a thinker on the excesses of powerKafka (1883-1924) wrote novels in which people are condemned by an absolute power against which no recourse is permitted. But this body of work also recounts the protagonists' never-ending fight against the ban on living that is imposed upon them. Relentlessly, they strive to wrest their rights – or at least ascertain the reason for this ban – from the anonymous masters of the Court or the Castle. On the centenary of Kafka's death, this dual message has lost none of its force.
