Based on an assessment of the institution and a clinical case study, we will see how it was possible to create a psychotherapeutic framework that is flexible and open to the outside world. In this way, the research and development efforts helped to promote reflection and prevent those involved from abandoning their primary mission and falling into despair.Cet article propose d’étudier l’attente de la mission première de protection de l’enfance, la confusion des places et le non-respect des limites au sein d’une maison d’enfants à caractère social (MECS). À partir d’un état des lieux sur l’établissement et d’un cas clinique, nous verrons comment il a été possible de créer un dispositif psychothérapeutique, malléable et ouvert sur l’extérieur. Ainsi, les travaux d’écriture et d’élaboration ont permis de soutenir la pensée et d’éloigner les mouvements poussant à l’abandon de la mission principale et au désespoir.Cairn restricted access
