| Tóm tắt: | Community dynamics, urban landscape and politics of heritage in the Romanian town of JimboliaThis paper is intended to explore the dynamic of rebuilding memories and heritages in an urban context located in a border area which is heavily marked by transborder mobility and crisis related to de-industrialization. My analysis is aimed to show how the socioeconomic change – and especially the post-crisis developmental politics that reconfigured urban territory as transnational – influenced the urban landscape. More specifically, I question how the above processes impacted on the maintenance of urban memory and cultural heritage and also the other way round: how memories of multicultural coexistence help revitalizing the urban landscape. The memorial dimension is approached through the public politics of heritage as well as on the level of everyday practices. |
