الملخص:In the present study, we publish four previously unknown magical amulets (two Lamaštu plaques, one Pazuzu-head pendant, and one bronze stamp seal with a double-faced Pazuzu-head handle) kept in the Département des Monnaies, médailles et antiques. In addition to providing iconographic descriptions of each object, the study focuses on notable aspects of the research – such as, in the case of the Lamaštu plaques, the demon’s iconographic characteristics, the so-called sick-bed motif, the Ḫulbazizi incantation appearing on one plaque, the classification of Lamaštu plaques bearing pseudo-inscriptions, and the role of the magical triangles frequently depicted on them. As for the artifacts representing Pazuzu, the study discusses the distinctive features of Pazuzu-head pendants and the demon’s role in glyptic art.
