Zusammenfassung:Antonio Negri has asserted the need for a return to dialectics in order to confront the « usurpation of critique », which is also carried out by a certain interpretation of the Frankfurt School, in which the relationship to power and Capital is thought of as absolute domination. In this essay, we follow developments in the problematic relationship between the dialectical demand and the ontological project that characterised the second part of Negri’s work from 1981 onwards. The working hypothesis is that, despite the contradictions induced by the relationship between ontology and politics, the reformulation of Marxism as an ontology of production allowed Negri to rethink political praxis and to nourish a thought of revolution at a time when its impossibility was declared by neoliberalism.
