| Sumario: | The author tries to show in how far original Freudo-Marxism exceeds a mere critique of fascism. The young Wilhelm Reich reflects on a possible articulation of Marxist thought and psychoanalysis. Psychoanalysis is dialectical and materialist according to Reich, and can thus act as the psychological counterpart to Marxist sociology. Thus Adorno’s and Marcuse’s critique of Neo-Freudianism does not apply to Reich’s theory. In several aspects, Reich’s Freudo-Marxism could be seen as a forerunner of the Marxist interpretation of psychoanalysis by the Frankfurt School. |
