الملخص:Within a French discursive space regulated by a conception of the individual which lays claim to a universalist validity, the notion of “sexual difference is often equated with a species of “naturalism”. The question can however be asked whether the idea of “gender”, or of “rapports sociaux de sexe”, to the extent, at least, that it postulates an indifference that is constitutive of the sexes, does not in fact reintroduce another species of naturalism, one which Marx referred to in terms of an “accomplished naturalism”? Is it not the case that equality, if it is to be a possibility, must be posited upon grounds or conditions of sameness?
