要約:For Badiou, the political is to be conceived of as a protocol enacting a fidelity to the truth traced out by an event in which the emptiness constitutive of Being is revealed. Such a conception, the kernel of which is the effulgence of the event, is not without its price, involving as it does a rarefaction of the political, the grounds for which are never made explicit. It involves a refutation of finitude, even as it invokes the limited nature of its action. It stakes out its place within a school of intervention, but can only envisage any intervention from a posture of hermeneutic withdrawal. It lays claim to a strategy implying its radical distancing of itself from the State institution, while proving unable to do without the latter. It invokes its potency of rupture, but is continually coming up against the internal limits of the conceptual structure presiding over its deployment.
