| Zusammenfassung: | The author shows that the aim pursued by the ethics of discourse is a renewal of the Marxian critique of ideology, through a formulation of the conditions for a public discussion freed from social constraint and from domination. A universal pragmatism would appear to set apart the public exchange of utterances, envisaged as a sphere which is constitutively immunised against social conflictuality. The communicational model can however be reconsidered from the perspective of the logic of social struggles. What is thus shown up is the uncancelled debt of consensus to the logic of the (unresolved) a "differend". |
