| Résumé: | Quite obviously, Habermas's thought forms in France the subject of a serious misunderstanding, which finds its origin in persistent prejudices. The present issue of Actuel Marx, by putting forward a paper of J.-M. Vincent Théorie critique et "republicanisme kantien", gives us the opportunity to underscore these prejudices. Actually, as its only aim were to comfort such prejudices, Vincent's paper is stocked with converging conceptual mistakes and historical inaccuracies. These are shown here, and, as much as possible, corrected so as to put Habermas's evolution back in the framework and under the constraints of what is called Critical Theory, Habermas's political theory being one of its more accomplished expression. |
