| Shrnutí: | The vital lead in Marx's works, the dialectical figure cailed « the culminating point », is already present in his Dissertation on Democritus and Epicurus. Just as the latter gets the upper hand of Aristotle, so Marx gets the upper hand of Engels. Writing about them, he only speaks about himseif. He inaugurates a criticism of the « philosophy of consciousness » by studying the « sage » through his esoteric subjectivity, the ought-to-be of the real world. Epicurus, who exorcizes death, is the supreme fascination-identification figure. But what is true knowledge? Surpassing death or forever striving to escape impending death? Marx cannot write his dialectics. |
