He is the principal investigator of Economics for the Anthropocene: Re-grounding the human/Earth relationship, a partnership among McGill University, the University of Vermont, and York University. He is also a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) and the Club of Rome.Peter Timmerman is an associate professor in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University.
