| الملخص: | South America 1972 is the only Richard Long work that only has drawings: a small number of stylized motifs (sun circle, silhouette of a condor, spiral, etc.) were traced during a hike across South America with the help of natural materials found onsite (pebbles, gold dust, etc.) under circumstances that a short legend describes. These sketches are printed twice, once in positive (black on white background) and once in negative (white on black background), on the front and back of the same page. Given this, a connection is established between the drawings and photographic prints, which inevitably spring to mind with the positive and negative images. L'Amérique du Sud 1972 est la seule œuvre de Richard Long à n'avoir que des dessins: un petit nombre de motifs stylisés (cercle de soleil, silhouette d'un condor, spirale, etc.) ont été tracés au cours d'une randonnée à travers l'Amérique du Sud à l'aide de matériaux naturels trouvés sur place. (cailloux, poussière d or, etc.) dans des circonstances décrites dans une courte légende. Ces croquis sont imprimés deux fois, une fois en positif (noir sur fond blanc) et une fois en négatif (blanc sur fond noir), au recto et au verso de la même page. Compte tenu de cela, un lien est établi entre les dessins et les tirages photographiques, auxquels viennent inévitablement penser les images positives et négatives. |
