Mountain research in the Alps and the rest of the world: a retrospective look
The expression “alpine research”, as will be seen in this issue, remains quite uncertain/ unclear. At first sight, it gives rise to the following question: Does it mean research conducted on the Alps or in the Alps? Or does it mean for the Alps, that is in response to a request from “alpine actors”...
