Wordsworth’s famous “Lines Written a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey, on Revisiting the Banks of the Wye during a Tour, July 13, 1798” deals with the idea of returning, going back to. Here the poet revisits the banks of the Wye and it is for him the opportunity to witness and express the different being he feels he has become in five years, the span between his two visits. Yet the poem itself is also a place one goes back to, as can be seen through its revisiting over the years by all critical schools of literary analysis.
