Beyond Biography: Characters and Journeys in Soyinka’s Isara
The major characters in Isara are involved in journeys of exile which take on mythical and initiatory dimensions. On their return home, they form a new generation of citizens who, by virtue of their experience abroad, have acquired knowledge, vision and power.
