It considers the evolution of the political dynamics of integration and non-integration in the Mediterranean since the end of the Cold War. It examines how far the processes initiated by the Arab uprisings provide a new impulse for regional integration and how far the new post-revolutionary dilemmas prolong and/or strengthen the kind of regional fragmentation witnessed during the preceding decade of the “war on terror”.
